Claims Conference Film Grants

Grants of up to $20,000 and grants of up to $60,000 to USA, Canada, and International organizations, filmmakers, and production companies for the creation of Holocaust-related films. Films should have an educational value and broad distribution potential. Funding may be requested for only one of the following three project phases: a) Development, b) Production or c) Post-Production.
Criteria:Films must be about the Holocaust.Films must have both wide distribution potential and educational value. Applications should include a strong distribution plan for non-educational platforms as well as a plan for educational distribution.All films, regardless of genre, will be evaluated based on historical accuracy as well as creativity, vision and planning. It is highly recommended that applicants work with historical consultants throughout the development and production of their films and allocate funds in their budget for such consultations.

Term of Contract

Your funding request must be for expenses which will be incurred no earlier than January of the following year if you are applying in April and no earlier than July of the following year if you are applying in October (this includes matching funds).

Estimated Size of Grant
For development grants, the Claims Conference will generally consider funding up to $20,000. For production and post-production, the Claims Conference will generally consider funding up to $60,000. However, in no case will the Claims Conference consider f
