Independent Medical Education Grant - Identifying and Diagnosing Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA)

Grants to USA professional healthcare schools, healthcare institutions, professional associations, medical societies, and medical education companies to improve patient outcomes in juvenile idiopathic arthritis. Funding is intended to provide education to advanced practice providers (nurse practitioners, physician assistants, clinical nurse specialists) who may be involved in the care and treatment of patients with JIA.
Projects that will be considered for Pfizer support will focus on improving the care, management, and outcomes of patients with JIA by increasing healthcare personnel knowledge on the following:Disease state education, Differential disease diagnosis, Referral to pediatric rheumatology clinicians and reinforce comanagement among the multidisciplinary health care team, Patient management and preparation for the transition from pediatric care to adult care, and Approved treatments and guidelines including new MOAs for JIA.
