Strengthening ICAC Technological Investigative Capacity
Grants to USA and territories nonprofit and for-profit organizations, agencies, IHEs, and tribal organizations to address internet crimes against children. Applicants are advised that required registrations must be completed prior to submitting an application. The goal of the program is to increase the technological investigative capacity and associated training of Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force personnel through the development, refinement, and advancement of widely used investigative tools, methods, and technologies that address child pornography, exploitation, and sex trafficking.
This solicitation provides funding for applicant organizations to increase the technological investigative capacity of Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Forces and their affiliates as well as related state, tribal, and local law enforcement and prosecutorial agencies through training and the development and/or enhancement of widely used investigative tools, methods, and technologies.There are two categories of funding under this solicitation:Category 1: Develop, enhance, and/or refine widely used investigative tools, methods, and technologies that address child pornography, exploitation, and sex trafficking. These tools will help the law enforcement community and prosecutorial agencies overcome current technology-related investigative challenges.Category 2: Develop and deliver training for the law enforcement community and prosecutorial agencies on tools, methods, and technologies that address child pornography, exploitation, and sex trafficking.Applicants can propose to develop and deliver new training curricula or leverage existing training curricula to deliver content through multiple cost-effective delivery mechanisms.For program objectives, seehttps://ojjdp.ojp.gov/funding/fy2021/O-OJJDP-2021-121002#page=5.
